In short

  • The site uses cookies, set by Google (ads and statistics), by our affiliate partners (Amazon, Agoda and Travelpayouts) and by WordPress when you log in.
  • If you create an account or submit a listing, we store the details you enter.
  • Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising and statistics cookies are used.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • You can withdraw consent, delete your account and ask us about your data at any time.

What we collect

Server logs. Our web host, helpdeskhost.com, automatically logs your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.

Accounts and listings. If you register or submit a listing, we store your username, email address and password (encrypted), plus everything you enter in the listing, such as a business name, address, phone number, website and description. Listing details are published on the site; your email address and password are not.

Comments. If you leave a comment on a listing or article, the site stores your name, email address, website (if given), the comment, your IP address and browser user agent. The email address is never shown publicly. An anonymised string created from your email (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture.

Contact form. If you use our contact form, we store your name, email address and message only to reply to you.

Please do not post passport numbers, visa details or other sensitive personal information in comments or listings.
